Upcoming Auctions

These are truly unprecedented times and challenges in our country’s history, not seen since our ancestor’s experience in the 1918 Influenza Pandemic. In the current environment, it is important to be prepared and here at South Auctions, we are staying up to date on the information surrounding coronavirus and the disease COVID-19 as it pertains to our ability to hold live public auctions and protect our friends and families.

We are following the latest Center for Disease Control (CDC recommendations and Ohio Department of Health guidelines as it is related to public gatherings of 10+ people. We have postponed an April 11, 2020 Multifamily Auction that was scheduled at the Warren County Fairgrounds. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.

We appreciate your patience and we look forward to resuming our normal schedule as soon as possible! Be sure to keep an eye on the website If you have specific questions, or want to be placed on our “list” of Consignors for future auctions, please email or call us: Steve - 513-535-2020; Joe – 513-200-2771 or email:

The safety of our entire auction family is our highest priority. Thus, we will continue to monitor the situation. In the meantime, please refer to the CDC and its recommended steps to protect yourself:

  • Clean your hands often.
    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
    • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least  60% alcohol.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care. Cover coughs and sneezes and  wear a face mask if you are sick.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily, including tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, sinks.

· Social Distancing means keep 6 feet between you and the next person.

Are you moving or wanting to “downsize” in the coming year?

Start identifying and sorting out those things you want to put into an auction this summer or fall. You can even start creating an inventory of the items you want to sell and if you have the ability to take digital pictures, take some of the “key” or best items you have to sell. If you need us to come do that, then just call us now so we can schedule a

convenient time with you, to come look at what you have.

We will gladly explain our auction process explain to you how auctions work over the telephone and explain in more detail about our costs and what you can expect.

SPECIAL SITUATION:  Have you just sold your home (or about to sell your house) and expecting to hold an auction of the contents? With the current restriction on events/gatherings of 10+ people for the next several weeks to 2 months, we (and no other auction company) will be able to meet your Live Auction time deadline. If you find you must vacate the home by a specific date, we suggest contacting us immediately so we can take inventory and pictures of everything before you box them up and move them to a storage facility. (like one that you rent or a garage/basement space that you borrow from a friend).

SPECIAL NOTE ON REAL ESTATE CONTRACT: If the home you are selling has a detached garage or barn suitable for storing items you want to ultimately put into an auction, talk to your Real Estate Agent about adding a condition to the sale contract, that allows you to store your auction items in the detached facility for 60 - 90 days. The buyers may not want to agree, but it may be worth asking and paying them the money you would have to pay a storage facility while saving yourself from having to move it all twice. (once to another storage and a second time to the auction.)
